Many years ago, Joseph Lieberman was a devout Jew. He refused to campaign on Saturday, as to not break the Sabbath. And he promised to be a defender of life, going so far as to tell the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hartford that he was morally obligated to support his senate campaign over the pro-abortion Lowell Weicker. Sadly, Lieberman has become a rubber-stamp, knee-jerk liberal on nearly every issue which has come before the Senate in his many years in office, including voting in perfect lock step with the most rabid pro-abortion activists.
