For those of us old enough to remember a time without the Internet, the mere idea of being able to stay in contact with loved ones and business acquaintances without having to pick up the phone or having to wait for snail mail is still pretty special. Despite all of the various pitfalls associated with email, it is still a great way to communicate, essentially for free, with the important people in our lives. That doesn't mean that this relatively new technology is perfect, however.
